Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your device. Noma uses local storage — transactions and settings never leave the app unless you export them. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I move my data to a new device?

Open the app on your current device, go to Settings → Export, and save the backup file. On the new device, open Noma and use Settings → Import.

I cleared my browser data and my transactions are gone.

Noma stores everything locally, so clearing browser data or app storage removes your transactions. There is no cloud backup we can restore from. Export regularly if you want a safety net.

Does Noma work offline?

Yes. The app works without internet. Exchange rates get refreshed when you're online and are cached for offline use.

Why do some exchange rates look slightly off?

Noma uses European Central Bank reference rates via Frankfurter. These are daily mid-market rates and will differ slightly from what your bank or card issuer charges (they add spreads and fees).

Does Noma connect to my bank?

No. Noma is manual-entry by design. No bank login, no Plaid-style connection, no account aggregation. You enter what you spent.

How much does Noma cost?

Noma is free. No ads, no tracking, no premium tier.

How do I delete my account?

Noma has no account system, so there is nothing to delete on our side. To remove your data, uninstall the app or clear app storage on your device.
